Cory Rawson - OSFC Project November 2009

We've created this blog for you to share your thoughts on the PK-8 project that we are planning on putting on the ballot in November 2009. The reason we are putting this on the ballot is due to the age and and condition of the PK-4 Elementary building. The community committee that we formed this past fall met from August through December and determined the best long term solution for our district is to accept the funding partnership with the OSFC and pursue a PK-8 project. Obviously the economy is not in the best of shape now, but the timing of the OSFC makes this the last chance we have to accept their money. Any facility upgrades in the future will have to be done solely with district money. This is a terrific opportunity to lead the district into the future, and we want to get as much feedback from the community as we can.
